Expert Mode: You Control the Release
Every week you get double your quota of ideas, each explained, so you can choose what content gets written and steer your own release strategy, or flip to fully automatic any time.

We prepare a shortlist and explain it, you pick what we write and skip the rest.
Most of the time, hands-free content is exactly what a busy owner wants. But there are weeks when you know something the algorithm does not: a launch is coming, a news story is worth reacting to, or one keyword matters far more than the rest. Expert mode gives you that control. Instead of just receiving what we choose, you decide what gets written, from a shortlist we prepare and explain for you.
What Expert mode is
Each week we surface double the quota of news ideas and keyword opportunities than we could write for your plan. Every idea comes with a short explanation of why it is worth doing: the search behind it, the angle, or the news story it responds to. You then pick which ones get written, up to your weekly limit. The choices you did not pick are simply not written, so nothing is wasted and you stay in control of the mix.
If a week gets busy, you can flip any site to fully Auto and we will choose the strongest ideas and write them for you. Nothing stalls if you look away.
Why it matters
Content is not just volume, it is timing and emphasis. A generic tool publishes whatever comes next. Expert mode lets you decide what customers see, deciding what content gets written to fit your calendar and your priorities. Lead with a timely reaction one week, prioritise a high-intent keyword the next, or hold a topic back until you are ready to talk about it. You get the leverage of automated production with the judgement of someone who actually runs the business.
How it works in Awareness Marketing
A shortlist, not a firehose
The ideas we surface are already filtered against your business profile, your existing content and live search and news data, so you are choosing between good options rather than sifting noise. Each is explained in a line or two so a decision takes seconds.
You set the release, we do the work
Once you pick, the full engine takes over: research, draft in your brand voice, imagery, SEO and social posts. The only thing you have changed is who chose the topic.
Per site, and reversible
Mode is set per website, so you can steer one brand and automate another. Switch between Expert and Auto whenever you like, with no penalty either way.
Who it’s for
Expert mode is on Growth and Scale. Starter runs fully automatically and always uses Auto, so if hands-on control matters to you, Growth is the entry point. It suits owners and marketers who want a say in the editorial calendar rather than a black box. See where it sits on the plans page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Expert mode and Auto?
In Auto we choose the strongest ideas each week and write them up to your limit, hands-free. In Expert mode we surface double your quota of ideas, each explained, and you choose which get written. You can switch any site between the two whenever you like.
Which plans include Expert mode?
Expert mode is available on Growth and Scale. Starter runs fully automatically, so it always uses Auto. Trial accounts can also experience Expert mode.
Does Expert mode mean more work for me?
Only as much as you want. Reviewing the week’s ideas takes a few minutes, and each one is explained so you can decide quickly. If you are busy, flip the site to Auto and we take it from there.
Why would I want to choose the ideas myself?
Because you know your business. Expert mode lets you steer the release strategy: lead with a timely news angle, hold back a topic until a launch, or prioritise the keywords that matter most to your pipeline this month.
Can different websites use different modes?
Yes. Mode is set per site, so you can run one brand fully automatically and steer another by hand, whichever suits each one.
