What is Google Search Console?

Google Search Console is Google's free tool that shows how a website performs in search: the queries it appears for, its clicks, impressions and average positions, plus indexing and technical issues.

It is the only source of query-level search data straight from Google, making it the ground truth for measuring content performance.
