Measurement
4 min read
When you first invest in content, it is tempting to track everything or nothing. Both approaches hide the answer to the only question that matters: is this bringing the right people closer to working with us?
Start with four signals
Watch search impressions to see whether you are appearing for relevant questions, clicks to see whether your titles earn attention, time from social channels to see which posts genuinely send visitors, and enquiries that mention your content. Together they tell a clear story.
Measure monthly, not daily
Content compounds slowly. Daily checks create noise and anxiety; a monthly review reveals direction. Compare this month with the last three, note which topics moved the numbers, and let that decide what you create next.
Measurement is not about proving marketing works. It is about learning which of your efforts deserve more of your limited time.
